Johnny brings to Newton Federal Bank over 25 years of banking experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is also a graduate of the LSU Graduate School of Banking. Active in many community bank circles, Johnny is very involved in both the Community Bankers Association as well as the Georgia Bankers Association. Johnny credits much of his success in life to his father whom he affectionately refers to as “the smartest man I ever met." Always putting family first, Johnny lives his life by upholding the golden rule.
Johnny and his wife Judy reside in Covington. They have a son (Taylor) and daughter (Maggie). His hobbies include golf, hunting, fishing, and coaching all youth sports.

A true Georgia native, Greg Proffitt has lived in the Covington area for the last 24 years and is more excited than ever about his community. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his MBA from Georgia State University. Greg believes that a strong education system plays a critical role in the health and well-being of the local community.
Greg has been employed with Newton Federal Bank since 2005 and has seen his position evolve along with the bank. He is actively involved with the Community Bankers Association of Georgia and serves on the Leadership Division Board and the Member Services Committee. Greg chairs two local non-profit boards, Newton Mentoring and SparkNewton, which is one of three local advisory boards of the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta. He also serves as a deacon in his local church. Greg is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and watching sports
With over 25 years of community banking experience, Kenny simply enjoys serving others. He started as a teller and worked his way up through the retail ranks. He is a graduate of the University of West Georgia (B.B.A.) and earned his MBA from the University of Maryland University College. Kenny is certified in lending (CCL) and marketing (CFMP). His greatest accomplishment is being married to his best friend of 27 years.

For 23 years Reed has been the proud husband of Vicki Beard. They have four children and six grandchildren. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Reed holds a BS Degree. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, golf and traveling with Vicki.

Originally from Blairsville, but has lived in Athens/Winder for last 16 years. Greta’s passion for people is obvious by the work she does with students and the time she spends in our community. As a Partner In Education Representative, Greta enjoys helping boys and girls find success in the classroom.
When Greta is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, serving as the leader of Children’s Ministry and Deaconess Ministry in her Church, and helping those in need.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Georgia College and State University with a dual major in Marketing and Management.
